Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay, born September 15, 1915, was born within Ogden Utah. Born into the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay used her ingenuous literary talents and remarkable researching skills in the creation of a brilliant psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. It was entitled: No Man Knows My History. It was a title taken from a funeral speech delivered by Joseph Smith. In the speech, he claimed: "You weren't acquainted with me or my heart. My past is not known by everyone. It's impossible for me to reveal it. Writes the 29-year-old Fawn: Since that day of truth, at least three-score writers have joined in the fight. Certain writers have honored and denigrated Fawn, while others have attempted to diagnose the issue. There's nothing wrong with it. It's not it's that the documents aren't sufficient, however they're wildly inconsistent. The task is to distinguish the first hand account from the plagiarism of third parties and to blend Mormon claims with the non-Mormons' in a coherent history. This is exciting as well as educational. FawnBrodie took on this challenge professionally. Thaddeus Stewards was the product from her writing and study led her to become a famous author. Scourge of the Southern (1959) The Devil Drives. Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974), and Richard Nixon.
