Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the world of pop. The singer also swept all over the world in the process. Swift shed country like it was an additional layer and proved that she is perhaps the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. A person who has the ability to tap into the mood of times to make her music personal as well as be able to perform at the opposite. Swift's talents were apparent in some of her earliest tracks, notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift was able to discover the person she was and reach audiences across the globe. Fearless became a worldwide hit, not only in North America (where it earned six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia, the U.K. and many other countries. Swift took off to the peak of the charts with Speak Now. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, Swift's popularity grew and she was able to enter a music scene with a clear sense of where she deserved to be. She was at the top of pop until she reverted to her style with her sibling albums Folklore and Evermore in 2020.
