Kari Sam Wuhrer born on 28th April 1968 is an American singer and actress. She began her professional career as a teenager and is best recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a auto salesman. She has three siblings. As a teenager, she was a singer who performed in clubs and hid from her family to do so. When she began studying acting at Wooster School, at 13 years old, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Born on April 28, 1967 at Brookfield Connecticut. Her father is an German American policeman and a salesperson for autos. Kari is the youngest of three kids. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was a teenager. Her habit was to sneak away from her home to perform. Kari was just 13 when she began her acting classes at the Wooster School. Later, Kari enrolled at Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College. Kari began performing in her teens, with her first television appearance in 1987's MTV Remote Control.
